Rumor: Two Nintendo consoles soon belong to the old iron

Nintendo seems to want to look for a few of his consoles - then a new leak suggests. Some concessions still seem to give it.

No new games for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U

While Nintendo could land a real hit with the 3DS, the Wii U flopped huge. Now, however, Nintendo seems to be slow to wear both consoles, but certainly securely on the siding.

In a lactic mail, Nintendo's developer studios are pointed out that they will no longer submit new games for the two platforms from April 1, 2022 :

"We would like to inform you that it was decided to set the submission of new Nintendo 3DS / Wii U titles for publication in the eShop until the end of the current financial year (effectively from 1 April 2022). These new titles should be approved by the LotCheck at the latest within 3 months of the submission period.

But completely, Nintendo does not seem to desire the 3DS and the Wii U. In the same mail, it is assured of the recipients that continue to remain active the eShops of both platforms . In addition, developers can continue to deliver patches for their games over the eShop.

It almost seems like the Shitstorm, the Sony had collected as she wanted to shut down the PS Store on the PS Vita and the PS3, Nintendo sustainably impressed. However, how long the shops remain online afterwards is uncertain. In the end it remains only a matter of time, until Nintendo also pulls the plug here.
