After Xbox Game Pass-comeback: GTA 5 disappears again

This message is likely to be surprising for many. Fans could be pleased in April 2021 that GTA 5 re-joined the Xbox Game Pass. Since then, the game can be drawn on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and over Xcloud even on Android devices. But Microsoft wants to remove the game after a few months without a great announcement from the subscription service.

Where does the message come from? If you click on the page of the Xbox Game Pass on the category "Disappears soon", which sees that under titles like IT Lurks Below and Undermine is also GTA 5.

How long have I still have time to play GTA 5? Microsoft indicates that the games are taken from the Xbox Game Pass within the next two weeks. This means that the title is already removed tomorrow, but no later than 9 August 2021. Most recently, there was the title from January 2020 to May 2020 in the Xbox Game Pass.

And then? If your GTA 5 (and GTA Online) continues to play on your Xbox console, you have no choice but to buy the game itself. If you have a membership in the Xbox Game Pass, you can buy the game currently for 20% discount.

GTA 5 receives Next Gen Upgrade

Alternatively, you can wait until the Xbox Series X / S version appears from GTA 5. So far, it is not clear that owners can upgrade the Xbox One version for free to update. So if you are interested in the newer version, you should wait for the release on November 11, 2021.

And what about GTA 6?

That will probably take. Rockstar and Take Two have not yet agreed on a release of GTA 6. Several insiders speculate that we will not experience the title before 2023, some even speak from a release in 2025.
