The shooter Doom has its own forest - now the GamesCom also plant one

Yes, there is actually a Doom Wood, which is even in Germany. This is a nature conservation project for biodiversity and environmental protection. Also Diegamescom consists exactly for this - with the Gamescom Forest.

What is this for a forest? The Doom Wood is a nature conservation project near Pegnitz in the district of Bayreuth in Bavaria. And yes, he is actually dedicated to the famous shooter series Doom. The forest of Treemer was created, an aid project to the reforestation of German forests.

Together with Bethesda, the project of Doom Wood was launched for GamesCom 2019. Meanwhile, more than 30,000 trees were planted in the forest.

What is the Gamescom now? In the course of Gamescom 2021, there is the Gamescom Forest, which starts another forest project very close to the Doom Wood. The action was already 2020 and will be continued.
